Sound of the Century is a device that lets people connect through exploration of the sounds in different countries at different times. By adjusting the year slider on the device’s base, and selecting countries by sticking pin needles in the globe, one can experience the most popular songs and other iconic pieces of audio across the globe in any given year. This allows users to both rediscover their own country’s history, and explore its relationship with the rest of the world.
